ReplyDeleteI met Joy Williams at a local bookstore when I was like, 10. and no one knew her. and Im so proud that she's made it in the world and people know her now.
I havent heard that song but it sounds lovely. Thank you <3
I used to listen to Joy Williams when I was super young too--we had a WOW CD or something that had one of her songs and I LOVED IT. so getting into her music as an older person has been one of the most fulfilling things ever. :)
DeleteAhhhh I love music recap posts so much! I was so happy when this appeared in my feed <3 I haven't heard any of these songs, but I'll have to give them a listen. I've been listening to "Final Masquerade" by Linkin Park, "Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet" by Fall Out Boy, and (bc I'm trash) "Monochrome No Kiss" and "Uragiri no Yuuyake".

yessss Fall Out Boy. I don't listen to them as much as I once did, but they definitely have a soft place in my heart.
DeleteI listened to the Japanese songs you mentioned (yay for trashcan friends), and I loved them so much. The Durarara one made me want to go back and rewatch SO MUCH. OPs especially get me--I really should listen to them more. Two that I just got into listening to on repeat are History Maker (Dean Fujioka ftw) and Abnormalize from Psycho Pass (because, above all else, I am the biggest Psycho Pass trash. someone save me. actually, don't. Ling Tosite Sigure has some of the best songs, yo).
